Logistic Management

Capernow_world

Logistic is more than just track and trace. Logistic needs to show the availability, and estimate when an item will be out of stock. The internal status can be made available for the customer; this again reduces the number of calls to your Call Center.
The module is able to communicate with external systems, and is fully prepared for outsourcing - the system is open for all possibilities.

One of iTMS’s main elements is order processing. iTMS is designed so that the tabs on the user interface can be adapted for individual departments within the company.

E.g. if there is a department for:

  • Mobile orders. E.g. the processing of number porting.
  • Logistic orders. E.g. the shipping of hardware etc.

In addition to the Call Center, Back Office, Billing and Debtor Management departments, the above shows that, in this case, there are two separate departments for managing logistics and mobile orders.

Logistic orders

In this example, logistic order queues are designed for the shipping of SIM cards and CPE boxes. Which customers need what, and the equipment the warehouse employee must pick and send to the customer are tracked.

If a customer is terminated, the logistic queues can be adapted so that a returns box is sent to the customer so that they can return the borrowed equipment. If the customer does not return the equipment, iTMS can automatically bill the customer for it.

Typically, the logistics department manages the following queues, depending on the solution:

  • Picking the SIM card
  • Picking the CPE boxes
  • Picking the Set-top boxes
  • Shipment of SIM cards, CPE, Set-top boxes
  • Waiting for the returned equipment

Example from a Logistics queue. Shipment of Set-top boxes.

The above is an example of a Set-top box shipment. This customer will receive 3 7120 Set-top boxes. The employee must scan the box's label so that the Mac address and serial number are recorded for the customer.
