Billing
iTMS Telco billing is one of the cornerstones of iTMS; it handles the full process from mediation and processing of CDRs (Call Detail Records) to the actual billing. iTMS billing contains the following modules:
- CDR processor
- Customer database
- Product database
- Price database
- iTMS billing generator
CDR Processor
CDR processor is developed as a CDR mediation device, handling Acquisition, Transformation and Formatting of CDR records from various operators, allowing for a stringent homogenous storage of data.
The CDR processor in Capernow iTMS is a mediation device that can handle various types of CDRs such as Mobile CDRs, Fixed-/wire line CDRs or IP CDRs. The flexibility in handling various record types is exemplified by the Record Transformation Module (RTM), which makes it easy to implement new record formats in iTMS, including records generated from content delivery. iTMS is delivered with a standard CDR import format.
Upon acquisition and formatting, the CDR processor rate/price of the individual CDR records. It is a highly configurable application, which allows rating based on individual Customers, Customer groups, various discount schemes and rule activation such as volume and A- & B-number based rating. The application handles most pricing and discounting plans.
The CDR processor also features error management and profit management thereby limiting the number of missed priced CDR records.
